Chartered Accountant – Accounting, Taxation & Audit

Experience: 2–3 years post-qualification
Industry: Consulting / Financial Services
Reporting To: Finance Manager / CFO / Senior Manager – Finance

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Financial Reporting

1. Prepare and maintain accurate books of accounts in compliance with Indian GAAP and/or IFRS.
2. Finalization of accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
3. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
4. Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances.

Taxation

1. Manage direct and indirect tax compliance including income tax, TDS, GST, etc.
2. Prepare and review tax returns, ensure timely submissions.
3. Coordinate with external consultants and authorities for tax assessments and filings.
4. Ensure proper documentation and compliance with transfer pricing regulations if applicable.

Auditing

1. Coordinate and support statutory, internal, and tax audits.
2. Prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor queries.
3. Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
4. Assist in SOX compliance or other regulatory reporting if required.

Other Finance Functions

1. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
2. Support process improvements and automation in finance operations.
3. Work with cross-functional teams on finance and compliance-related matters.

Key Requirements:

1. Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA)
2. Experience: 2–3 years post-qualification experience in a similar role.
3. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation laws, and auditing standards.
4. Tools: Proficient in MS Excel, Tally, SAP or other ERP systems.
5. Soft Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Background:

1. Candidates from a consulting background will be preferred, having relevant experience in finance and accounts, and who can join immediately or within 15–20 days.
